This is the web page for the school uniform of Burwash CE Primary School. You can purchase our school uniform in confidence knowing that these items of uniform have been carefully selected to ensure that you receive good quality, hardwearing uniform and the prices represent value for money from a company you can trust.
We know that sizing uniform on-line can be difficult so to ensure you purchase the correct size we have arranged for a selection of try-on samples to be available in the school office.

School Uniform Policy
Principles
It is our policy that all children should wear clothing that is in keeping with a purposeful learning ethos. We provide a complete list of the items needed for children’s school uniform in this policy and in our school prospectus.
Aims
Our policy for children’s school uniform is based on the belief that a school uniform:

promotes a sense of pride in the school

engenders a feeling of community and belonging

is practical and smart

identifies the children with the school
-
is not distracting in class (as fashion clothes might be)

makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance

is regarded as suitable, and good value for money, by most parents

has been designed with health and safety in mind.
Our colours are navy blue, grey and yellow. Shoes should be black and suitable for running in (girls shoes should have a low heel only). The school uniform is as follows:

Jewellery
On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery other than watches or stud ear-rings for pierced ears.
Make up, Cosmetics and Hair Styles
Make up and cosmetics are not considered appropriate or consistent with our school uniform. The school does not permit such products to be worn by any children. In line with our local Secondary Schools we also discourage extreme hairstyles.
All clothing and footwear should be clearly labelled with your child’s name
