Harby Church of England Primary School - Recommended school dress
Aims
Our policy for children’s school dress is based on the belief that it:
· promotes a sense of pride in the school
· engenders a feeling of community and belonging
· is practical and smart
· identifies the children with the school
· is not distracting in class (as fashion clothes might be)
· makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
· is regarded as suitable, and good value for money, by most parents
· has been designed with health and safety in mind.
Our colours navy and white and the uniform is as follows:
Boys
· School navy sweatshirt with school logo
· School white polo shirt with school logo or (white shirt)
· School navy fleece and/or reversible fleece jacket with school logo
· School navy book bag with school logo
· Grey/black trousers or grey/black shorts
Girls
· School navy sweatshirt with school logo or
· School navy sweat cardigan with school logo
· School white polo shirt with school logo or (white blouse)
· School navy fleece and/or reversible fleece jacket with school logo
· School navy book bag with school logo
· Grey/black skirt, grey/black trousers, grey/black shorts or grey/black pinafore dress (with zip front)
· Blue gingham dresses may be worn in the summer term
For PE all children need
· T-shirt/sports shirt – a school navy t-shirt may be purchased
· Shorts
· A tracksuit/joggers & sweatshirt for outdoor P.E.
· Trainers/plimsolls and possibly a football boots
· Gym/PE bag
Optional items
· School navy cap with school logo
Jewellery
On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery in our school.
All clothing and footwear should be clearly labelled with your child’s name
