School shirts must be
plain white with no logos. They must have a proper collar with a top button which should be fastened.

Shirts should be tucked in.

Coloured t-shirts/football shirts etc must not be worn under school shirts.

Knitwear with the LPTC logo must be worn at all times. Exceptions in hot weather with the class teacher’s permission.

School trousers must be long, all black and plain (not three-quarter length, black jeans, cords, ‘combats’, casual multi-zipped, tracksuit bottoms etc).

School trousers should not be dragging on the floor.

Skirts must be black and plain. They should be an appropriate length given the number of stairs in school.

Sensible
all black school shoes – no trainers, sandals, black trainers, canvas shoes etc.

Laces should be black.

A dated note from home is required for foot injuries that make school shoes impossible to wear.

Socks should be black or white.

Tights should be plain black.

Ties – optional and these will be given free of charge for achievement.

Outdoor clothes (including hats) must not be worn in classrooms.

Belts must be plain black only and no more than 5cm in width. They should not have metal studs (or anything similar) or huge buckles.

No badges/stickers to be worn on any part of the uniform.

Only
one plain
stud per ear. No other jewellery.

No other body piercings are allowed, eg eyebrow studs, nose studs, tongue studs, lip studs etc. This includes plastic inserts.

Mobile phones must be switched off during lesson times.

Mobile phones must
not be used to photograph/record anywhere within the college. You will be excluded if found taking photographs/recording.

‘Walkmans’, ‘I-Pods’, or MP3 players are permitted but must be switched off in lessons, library and form time.

You may drink
water only in lessons but not in the Library or when working on computers.

You should not use the vending machines/water fountains during lessons/registrations.

You are not allowed to go to the Sports Centre at break or lunchtimes.

No chewing gum.

Make-up should be subtle.
-
Nail varnish must be clear, not coloured.
-
Students will be asked to remove make-up which is too obvious or eye-catching.
