This is the web page for our school’s official uniform supplier. You can purchase all items of St Andrews’ CEVC Primary School’s uniform here, plus a wide range of ancillary items e.g plimsolls.   Please Note: To ensure you purchase the correct size for your children there is a range of try-on samples which will be available at the school office.   We hope you find this a more convenient way to purchase school uniform.  As always we welcome feedback through the school website or other e-mail.  Thank you.

School Uniform Policy

Principles
It is our policy that all children should wear clothing that is in keeping with a purposeful learning ethos.  We also believe it is important that certain activities are facilitated by specialised and appropriate clothing when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours.  We provide a complete list of the items needed for children’s school uniform in this policy and in our school prospectus.

Aims
Our policy for children’s school uniform is based on the belief that a school uniform:

• promotes a sense of pride in the school
• engenders a feeling of community and belonging
• is practical and smart  
• identifies the children with the school
• is not distracting in class (as fashion clothes might be)
• makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
• is regarded as suitable, and good value for money, by most parents
• has been designed with health and safety in mind.

Jewellery
On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery in our school. The exceptions to this rule are earring studs in pierced ears.  We ask the children either to remove these objects during P.E. and games, or to cover them with a plaster. (see P.E. policy).

Make up and Cosmetics
Make up and cosmetics are not considered appropriate or consistent with our school uniform.  The school does not permit such products to be worn by any children, unless there is a specific event for which the Head has given permission.

Hair
Long hair needs to be tied back for P.E. (see P.E. Policy)

Footwear
The school wants all children to grow into healthy adults. We believe that it is dangerous for children to wear shoes with platform soles or high heels in school, so we do not allow this. We would prefer that all children do not  wear trainers to school; these are appropriate for sport or as leisurewear, but are not in keeping with the smart appearance of a school uniform.

The Role of Parents
The school fully expects the wearing of a uniform and parents are expected to support this policy.    It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure their child is appropriately dressed for school.

Every pupil is expected to have the minimum required P.E. Kit – which is

• Shorts
• Blue P.E. Shirt
• Plimsolls/trainers
• Key Stage 2 pupils – track suit top and bottoms

It is not acceptable to wear daily school uniform for P.E.  It is the responsibility of both parents and children that a P.E. Kit is provided and is in school at all times, so that the school can fulfil their statutory duty for P.E.

All items of clothing should be clearly labelled/marked with your child’s name.

The school colours are royal blue and grey/black.

• Baseball Cap (optional) 

Girls Summer Uniform

• Blue/White Check Dress or
• Grey Skirt with White Polo Shirt
• Sweatshirt/Cardigan with school logo
• Baseball Cap (optional)

Boys Winter Uniform

• Grey/Black Trousers
• White Shirt/Polo Shirt
• Sweatshirt with school logo 

Girls Winter Uniform
